Tulle skirts are so in right now; maybe it’s inspiration from the ever so popular show Sex and the City, or maybe the newer show based on the earlier years of Carrie Bradshaw- The Carrie Diaries has something to do with it, but fashion has embraced tulle skirts with full force. I stumbled across one for a decent price through Instagram and actually kind of love it. The skirt itself is pretty dressy and can definitely be worn with stilettos and a silk top for a soft and sophisticated look, but look how effortless a darker muscle tank with studs looks paired with the tulle… an unexpected edge keeps things interesting.

I loved it so much I ordered black too. Another way a tulle skirt can be worn is high-waisted with a bandeau. Of course, I had to add some edge to this girly outfit so I opted for a brass spike necklace. And can we talk about the fabulous bag? Black and white is right on trend right now, which makes this the perfect bag to transition into Spring.
